Coniston Walking Festival

Welcome to the Coniston Walking Festival 2008, a walking festival which aims to reveal and celebrate the landscape in and around Coniston, the Lake District.

In 2008 there will be a packed and diverse programme which will include walks themed to enable you to discover more about Coniston's geology and geography and about those adventurers, artists, poets and philosophers who have found inspiration in the Coniston landscape.

There will be fun and quirky activities for young families and more energetic activities designed for those seeking an adrenaline rush.  To complement the walking activities we will offer a full and varied cultural programme which includes a mountain and adventure film programme and a programme of evening entertainment, at the intimate pubs and venues across the village.

The full Walking Festival programme will be available from June 2008.
